The natural surroundings are stunning, and the level of service is exceptional. What stood out most were the thoughtful personal touches from the hosts—being welcomed by wild kudus was magical, and seeing our names written on the door upon arrival made us feel so special.

One of the highlights was a beautifully arranged private dinner in the cottage, which was both intimate and memorable. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive throughout our stay. I especially enjoyed the peaceful early mornings, starting with coffee and a short walk in front of the cottages.

The safari experience was outstanding—well-organised, safe, and truly immersive. We felt cared for at every step.

We felt the hosts Basil and Riette are genuinely kind and really loved what they do. This is a place we will always remember and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and meaningful getaway.

Basil & Riëtte are perfect hosts that looked after our every need. The home cooked meals were absolutely amazing. We had been in the park for a few days, and during our AM game drive, John knew we had seen most the park had to offer so expertly guided us to specifically look for lions, cheetah, leopards, and rhino. I can’t recommend Foxy’s enough. Basil & Riëtte have taken care of every detail and the massive kudu living in the front garden are an added bonus!!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by… read more kudu, antelope, and wildebeest roaming freely right outside the lodge (see photos). It was such a magical welcome and immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay.

The lodge itself is incredible — spotless, beautifully designed, and wonderfully homely. The bed was huge and exceptionally comfortable. Spending time on the terrace or in the splash pool, watching animals wander by just metres away, was an unforgettable way to relax and soak in the surroundings.

The food was outstanding. Breakfast was brought to us on the terrace each morning, which felt like such a treat, and dinner was equally impressive. The bush braai, especially the T-bone steak with its incredible glaze, was a real highlight.

Basil and Riette were fantastic hosts who truly couldn’t do enough for us. They were warm, attentive, and made us feel completely at home throughout our stay.

The safari departing directly from the lodge each morning was another unforgettable experience and made everything so easy and seamless.

Overall, this was one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed, and we can’t wait to return.

It’s just an hour and a half from… read more Kruger International Airport, so getting there and back was super easy. The lodge is right by the river, giving us amazing views of Kruger National Park and the chance to see and hear hippos.

Marloth Park is bursting with wildlife. We saw all sorts of animals just around us. Being close to Crocodile Bridge Gate (~20-minute drive) meant we could easily get into Kruger Park.

The rooms are big, air-conditioned and well-equipped. The WiFi is great and the dinners, especially the T-Bone dinner, are delicious.

we also ordered safaris with Foxy car and guide. We managed to spot all the Big Five, and our guide, Jaun, was fantastic.

The friendly and helpful staff, from booking online to the lodge staff, made us feel welcome and ensured we had a great time.

Overall, Foxy Lodge is definitely an amazing option for anyone heading to Kruger.

Our driver was informative and fun and ensured we had the best experience. We saw the Big 5 and pretty much everything else! The lodges are beautiful and comfortable, the staff are impeccable.
